Pride Lands; Dawn

The sun hadn't come out yet, but the night sky did brighten a little bit, the animals still sound asleep all but for one lion.

Walking down towards a nearby pond was a young, lion with a fully grown, crimson red mane, bright orange eyes, and bright, gold fur as bright as the sun.

The lion approached the pond and looked at his reflection before leaning down and taking a few drinks of water.

Suddenly, he felt someone nuzzling up to his mane, a cream furred lioness. But he knew who this particular lioness was.

"Another nightmare Simba?" the lioness asked, nuzzling up to the lion.

"No... couldn't sleep..." Simba replied, nuzzling the lioness back. "Sorry if I woke you Nala."

Nala nuzzled the lion, looking at him before a smile grew on her face. "You seem to be sleeping better." she replied.

"Heh, well, I've been feeling better for a while." Simba said with a smile. "Hope I didn't worry you."

"Well, you had me worried for a little bit!" Nala replied, nuzzling Simba again.

Simba chuckled as he nuzzled his mate back. "Come on, let's head's back home." he said.

The two lions walked over back to Pride Rock as the sky brightened a bit, reaching the walkway.

However, before they got any further up, something blue and bright gleamed in their eyes nearby.

"ACK! What the?!" Simba replied, shutting his eyes a bit.

"You saw that too?!" Nala questioned, shutting her own eyes after seeing that gleam.

The gleam of light soon died down just as quickly as it appeared, but it wasn't quick enough for the two lions to see where it came from, right under Pride Rock.

The lions ran over towards the source, spotting a cave that they sure knew wasn't there at all before, epsecially one that gave a glow like that.

"What the... where did this cave come from?!" Simba questioned. "I've never seen this before!"

"Me neither!" Nala replied, looking at the cave. "I know for a fact there wasn't one here before!"

The two looked at the cave entrance, seeing the blue glow in the distance.

"What's in there?" Nala questioned, sniffing about. "And... why does it smell sweet?"

Simba sniffed the cave entrance as well, feeling the smell. "I don't know..." he said, turning to Nala. "You want to go see what's in there?"

Nala nodded in agreement before she and Simba entered into the cave, going down with the glow providing their light.

The two went down the cave, keeping themselves close to each other, keeping their footing.

"Wonder how long this tunnel goes?" Simba asked as he walked down, looking about the tunnel. "It feels like it goes on for ages."

"Further more, how did we or anyone not notice it before?!" Nala added, just as confused as he was. "It's certainly something no one can miss!"

The two walked further down the tunnel as the glow brightened. Eventually, they felt solid, smooth ground as they reached the end.

Before them was a very large cave, brightly lit from both the mysterious glow and sparkly gems and crystals that decorated the place.

The two lions walked around the cave, amazed such a place existed under their home.

"How... long has this been here?"  Nala asked as she and her hubby looked around the sparkly place.

"I have no idea..." Simba answered, walking alongside Nala just as curious as she was. "It might have been here for ages! Even longer before Pride Rock was a thing!"

The two walked around the cave, when something caught their attention, making them sniff about the air.

"Hey, do you smell that?" Simba asked, sniffing about.

Nala inhaled deeply, sniffing a smell. "Yeah... whatever it is, it smells... kind of sweet!" she replied, a smile forming on her face. "And it smells close!"

Simba and Nala sniffed the air about for the sweet smell, before they spotted a glimmer of light from a tunnel where the smell was coming from. They headed down towards the source, keeping close together.

The two soon reached the end, coming to a dead end that housed a large pool of water before them that gave off a glow. The lions appraoched the pool, sniffing it.

"Well... at least we know what that smell comes from..." Simba said. "But... what kind of water is this that can smell like that?! Let alone glow!"

"I don't know..." Nala replied, her head inching deeper towards the pool. "Wonder how it tastes." She pulled her tongue out and gave a few drinks from it. In an instant, her eyes widened and a smile formed on her face. "Oh wow!"

Unknown to Nala, but noticible to Simba, her belly bulged out a bit from just those few little drinks.

"This taste amazing!" Nala replied, licking her lips. "And so refreshing too!"

"And... a bit filling too." Simba added with a slight chuckle, pointing to his mate's stomach.

Nala looked confused before looking at her bulged stomach. "Whoa!" she replied, feeling it and hearing it slosh just a tiny bit. "This from just a few sips?" She looked back at the pool, now more curious than ever. "What kind of water is this?!"

"I have no idea, Nala." Simba replied as he looked at the pool with her.

The two notice that the pool looked very deep, almost going for miles underground with no end in sight.

Nala looked down deeper at the pool, being more closer. "Wonder how far it goes down." she replied, not noticing her paws were slipping on the edge. In an instant, they slipped off, making her lose balance. "WHA!!"

SPLASH!!

"WHOA!!" Simba replied, jumping back before the water hit him.

Nala fell in, the blue of the pool making her look as if she had turned blue, inadvertingly starting to gulp down more of the water with her body bulging and growing out exponentially. Though she did see what was happening to her, she was too late to react as she began to already round out with her legs, both fore and back, sinking in.

Simba quickly ran over to the pool and searched about. "Nala!" he cried out, wondering where she was at.

Nala began to swim herself upwards as she bulged and grew out more, her legs merging more up to her paws, until she reached the pool surface, gasping for air.

Simba looked at his wife and saw her fur had changed colors, her cream colored fur now a bright, sapphire blue color and her beige colored muzzle and underbelly a lighter, arctic blue color, and her brown nose a deep blue.

"ACK!" Nala gasped, taking deep breaths as she floated. "Oooooohhhh..."

Simba sighed with relief as he looked at his now round wife. "You... okay?" he asked.

"Well... I think I drank too much..." Nala replied, bopping slightly and flapping her fore-paws. "That water is REALLY filling!"

"And... you're blue now too!" Simba added, making Nala notice. "Maybe the water did that when you when under."

Nala sighed, feeling full from all that water she drank and was filled with. "Maybe..." she replied. "Geez, everyone at Pride Rock's gonna be shocked when they see me..."

Simba scratched the back of his head, thinking the same thing. "Here... let me help you back up." he replied, grabbing his round wife and pulling her out, albeit with a little struggle.

Nala was pushed against the edge of the pool as she was being pulled out, sliding back onto the ground on her round belly, her round body now on full display before Simba.

Simba looked in awe at how big and round Nala had become, examining her. "Well... wow..." he spoke as he checked her out. "How... do you feel?"

Nala moaned slightly, blushing a bit as Simba examined her. "Well... full and big... but I don't feel ill, so that's something." she replied, smiling a bit.

Simba pressed an ear gently against her side, feeling not only how much of the liquid she drank, but how warm she felt, making him smile.

Nala blushed as she felt his head, a small smile producing on her face.

"Mmmmm..." Simba replied, purring and gently nuzzling Nala's side. "You feel... quite snuggly warm... it's nice."

"Heh, Simba... since when are you a charmer?" Nala asked playfully, giving a small giggle.

Simba chuckled before he went to Nala's head, licking her nose. "Hey, maybe Rafiki can help restore you back to normal." he told her.

"And if he can't...?" Nala questioned, blushing with a growing smile from that nose lick.

"Well... then, as king, I'll have to keep you all nice and safe." Simba told her with a smirk on his face.

Nala giggled at that remark. "Well then, your majesty, would you roll me to Rafiki then?" she requested playfully, batting her eyes at Simba.

Simba snickered before going to Nala's side and gently pushed against it, making her roll.

Nala smiled with a purr as she was pushed and rolled by the king through the cave away from the pool.

It was a bit of a struggle to get her out, but they did eventually get out, and once everyone saw what had happened, they were shocked, some fainting at the sight of the big blue Nala, and many were confused to how it happened.

As for Nala's restoration by Rafiki, it could not be done given her state. Luckily, she and Simba weren't complaining about it.
